About Alumni Gatherings

At Youth Alliance our invitation is to be a life-long co-traveller to one another. Friendships that lift us up. The fuel to our friendships is our common purpose and intention of service to the world. A fluid relationship where we spiral closer and spiral away at different times, as a natural flow of life. Some friendships in the community may be deep ties, some of them non-binding connections where we belong.

So our invitation to you to come to an Alumni Gathering is not just to spend 3 days with the community, rather see it as a crossroads, a 'choraha' where we meet and hang out. And if we do it periodically for a few decades to come - this life long co-travelling will unravel beauty and love in the world.

At this crossroads, we make sense of what's happening at time in the country & the world. Understand how it affects each of our contexts. And together energize ways to respond to this moment in history, with intelligence and love.

Contribution Details

The Suggested Contribution is in the sliding scale of Rs. 1800-5000 for all three days. Know more about our gift culture here.

About the Space

Bhoomi Eco Village, located at Gummalapuram, about 40 km from Bangalore (on Map), is a learning space where programs are offered to individuals who are keen to understand and experience various aspects of ecological and sustainable living. When Bhoomi first started the project, this 22 Acre farmland was an almost treeless tract of land with poor quality of soil in an area that receives scanty rainfall. The land now tells us a completely different story, one of rejuvenation, restoration and tuning in with nature in a small community of humans, cows, dogs and sometimes visits by elephants and other animals from the nearby forests. The farm includes a young food forest where several varieties of fruits and vegetables are grown in addition to some millets, pulses and oil seeds.
