Voter Registraion Drive with Janagraha

India is a democratic nation; we chose our government by voting. But if we check the statistics then not more than 50 % of our voting population uses its right of voting. So, we at YA collaborated with “Jagoo Re- One Billion Campaign” and started voter registration drives across Noida and Ghaziabad registering over 5000 students for voter ID. YA volunteers worked really hard to make this drive a big success and they made a record of more than 1000 registrations in a day in one of the college in Ghaziabad. We conducted seminars, “Chai Raids”(serving morning tea in hostels in a cup symbolizing Jagoo Re), distributed pamphlets to spread awareness among students .
